Indian restaurant chain starts accepting cash again after customer backlash
An Indian restaurant chain has returned to its former policy of accepting cash after pushback from customers. Tamatanga began life as one restaurant in Nottingham's Cornerhouse 18 years ago, and expanded into four cities across the Midlands and north of England, with locations in Birmingham, Leicester and Leeds. It now employs 200 people across the four restaurants. Prior to their 18th anniversary celebrations, the company had been operating a card-only policy, having previously accepted cash. Founder and chief executive Aman Kular made the decision to go back to including coins and notes as a payment option.
