I’ve just watched ‘hellish’ BBC drama
I am a self-confessed TV addict. I always have at least two series on the go, and am never more excited than when I know I have a new show to watch.
TL;DR
- The third season of the BBC drama 'Time' is set in a Young Offenders Institute over three hour-long episodes.
- David Tennant plays Bobby Bailey, a corrections officer dealing with personal issues and the challenges of managing young offenders.
- The season depicts the claustrophobic environment of the institute, with inmates often kept in their cells due to staff shortages.
- It highlights that some offenders are victims of peer pressure, a broken rehabilitation system, and violence from others.
- A violent incident forces Tennant's character to confront his loyalties.
- Performances from David Tennant, Ollie McNulty (as Peter Palmerston), and Chukwubuikem Molokwu (as Christopher) are highlighted as exceptional.
- The season has received rave reviews for its depiction of 'hellish conditions' and its tense atmosphere.
- The drama is noted for its impactful storytelling within its short runtime and is expected to be recognized at the BAFTAS.
