Disjointed, lazy and wasteful
Manchester United are a shambles once more - and it will cost Michael Carrick his job.
TL;DR
- Manchester United are 16th in the Premier League with their worst start since 1986/87, winning only two of 12 matches.
- Transfer market failures include neglecting left-back and centre-forward positions despite spending £155 million on midfielders.
- Players have shown a perceived lack of effort, being outrun by opponents in most games.
- The defence relies on ageing players like Luke Shaw, Harry Maguire, and Matthijs de Ligt.
- Bruno Fernandes, crucial for inspiration, has had a poor season and criticized the manager.
- The team is wasteful in front of goal, having the most shots but underperforming their Expected Goals (xG).
- The new midfield trio of Youri Tielemans, Andrey Santos, and Carlos Baleba has not clicked.
- Manager Michael Carrick is reportedly on the verge of being sacked.
