Evanilson seals Bournemouth’s win against Sunderland after Danso sees red
Bournemouth’s and Marco Rose’s wait for a Premier League win is over. Sunderland, locked in the bottom three, are becoming this season’s object lesson in travelling too far too fast.
TL;DR
- Bournemouth ended their wait for a Premier League win against Sunderland.
- Sunderland's Kevin Danso was sent off in the 17th minute for denying a goalscoring opportunity.
- Evanilson scored the opening goal for Bournemouth and later added a second.
- Both teams selected stronger sides for the domestic fixture compared to their Europa League commitments.
- Sunderland's performance was described as jet-lagged and error-strewn following their first European away match since 1973.
