Right-wing says new Mexico storage discovery deepens Thomas Markle allegations
Right-leaning reports portray the Mexico discovery as a significant extension of allegations already under review, while Thomas Markle’s denial underscores that the claims have not been established in court.
Reports from right-leaning outlets say material recovered from a storage unit near Thomas Markle’s former home in Rosarito, Mexico, has added to allegations already being examined by authorities in the Philippines. Markle has denied the accusations, calling them “sick lies.”1
The Sun reported that 16 photographs, videotapes and other items were found in a locker about three miles from Markle’s former home. Its account said some of the images allegedly depicted nude girls and that the tapes carried labels including “Boys – Brother and Sister – Russian XX” and “Manila Nites.” The report did not establish ownership of the unit or the materials, but said the discovery had been reported to the FBI.1
The Daily Mail separately framed the find as child-pornography material discovered in Markle’s Mexico storage, reinforcing the central allegation made in the Sun’s account.2 Both reports treat the Mexico items as connected to a broader collection of belongings previously turned over by Markle’s son, Thomas Markle Jr.
According to the Sun, Philippine police obtained a warrant to examine computers, phones, hard drives and videotapes among the earlier material. The outlet said Cebu’s Regional Anti-Cybercrime Unit 7 was reviewing an inventory spanning 80 categories, and that digital checks appeared to date alleged illegal downloads to 2014 and 2020.1
The reports also differ from a finding of criminal liability: they describe allegations, recovered material and an active forensic review, rather than charges or a court ruling. Markle Jr. said he was cooperating with investigators and hoped “justice will be done,” while his father continues to reject the allegations.1
