Strictly Come Dancing fans 'gutted' as star forced to withdraw from live show
Strictly Come Dancing fans have shared their heartbreak after the news that star Delta Goodrem will be sitting out the upcoming live show. The Eurovision performer achieved the series' first nine during her week three routine with partner Kai Widdrington, as they delivered a Salsa to a medley of Always There by Jocelyn Brown and Ain't Nobody by Chaka Khan. Nevertheless, it has now been announced that she will not be returning for Saturday's programme, owing to an injury. Ellie Taylor broke the news on spin-off It Takes Two on Monday, October 12, revealing that a Strictly spokesperson stated: "Due to injury, Delta Goodrem has been advised by doctors to rest and, as a result, will not dance on this weekend's Strictly Come Dancing. In line with the rules of the show, Delta and Kai will receive a bye through to next week when it is hoped they will be able to dance again. We wish Delta the very best as she continues her recovery."
