Bill Clinton makes rare public appearance in Florida's final election sprint
The former president stumped in Florida Tuesday night on behalf of Democratic gubernatorial candidate David Jolly.
TL;DR
- Former President Bill Clinton appeared in Florida to support Democratic gubernatorial candidate David Jolly.
- This marks Clinton's first campaign trail appearance this election cycle.
- Jolly is trailing Republican challenger Byron Donalds in recent polls in Florida.
- A Jolly victory would be significant as Florida has not elected a Democratic governor since 1994.
- Other prominent Democrats, including JB Pritzker and Rahm Emanuel, have also endorsed Jolly.
- Jolly, a former Republican, is appealing to disaffected Republicans and moderate voters.
- Key issues for Jolly's campaign include high prices, rising home insurance costs, and data center development.
