Dream say WNBA finals concerns went unheeded as teams prepare for 12:30 PM Thursday start
Crucial Game 6 will take place on Thursday afternoon
TL;DR
- The Atlanta Dream are playing Game 6 of the WNBA finals against the Golden State Valkyries at 12:30 PM EDT on Thursday.
- The Dream's usual home venue, Gateway Center Arena, has a limited capacity, leading them to use the larger State Farm Arena for the finals.
- A scheduling conflict with the Atlanta Hawks' NBA game at State Farm Arena on Thursday evening necessitated the early afternoon start time for the WNBA finals game.
- The Dream stated they raised concerns about potential scheduling conflicts months ago, but these were not adequately addressed by the WNBA.
- The early start time will impact fans in California, who will watch the game at 9:30 AM local time.
